Your journal is yours. We don't sell your data, we don't read your entries, and we never will.
1. Who we are
Daily Glow is an iOS journaling app developed by Alexandre Branco Lopes ("we", "us", or "our"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at alexbranco.apps@gmail.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect only what is strictly necessary to operate the app:
Journal entries — your mood, answers to daily questions, and any text you write. Stored locally on your device by default.
Account information — if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and a unique identifier. We do not receive your password.
Subscription status — managed by RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of whether you have an active subscription, not your payment details.
Notification preferences — the time you set for daily reminders, stored locally.
3. How we use your data
To generate your personalized AI insight (sent to our secure proxy — your entry is used only to produce the response and is not stored on our servers).
To sync your journal across devices if you have a cloud account (optional).
To restore your Premium subscription if you reinstall the app.
To send you a daily reminder notification if you enable it.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app's features.
4. AI-generated insights
When you request a daily insight, the content of your journal entry (mood score, best moment, and area to improve) is sent to our secure proxy server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude API. This data is used only to generate your response. We do not store your entry on our servers. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their Privacy Policy.
5. Data storage and security
Local storage — by default, all journal data is stored only on your device using iOS secure storage.
Cloud sync — if you create an account, your entries are encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored in Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant cloud provider.
We do not have access to your raw journal entries stored in the cloud — data is associated only with your anonymous user ID.
6. Third-party services
Daily Glow uses the following third-party services:
Supabase — cloud database and authentication (optional). Privacy Policy

Apple Sign In / Google Sign In — optional authentication.
7. Children's privacy
Daily Glow is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
8. Your rights
You can at any time:
Delete all your data using the "Reset All Data" option in Settings.
Request deletion of your account and associated cloud data by contacting us.
Export your journal data as a JSON file from Settings.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes within the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
